| When I was writing my book A Vindication of the Rights of Woman I have already known that I wouldn't get the same opinion as my own. Of course when I was writing this I didn' mind writing this because I wanted the world to know that woman have feelings too. I had argued about many things especially about why womans should be educated and why that would be a good idea. This book was a good idea to write during the time of the Enlightenment. A lot of things had been going on because Napoleon Bonaparte had been controling France. He was also one of the major people who disagreeed with the womans right also. He didn't believe that womans neither should get any rights, he also felt that we shouldn't be educated neither. This is one of the major reasons that I have written this book because many men didn't want woman to think that we should be able to choose what's right for us. I am really glad that I have written this, it had influnence many people in different ways, and this gives me a chance to express how I feel about things that bother and should be said. | | |
| In 1792 I've written one of my many famous books called A Vindication of the rights of Woman. This is the book that I've written to show other people in this world that we need rights too. It isn't fair that we can't be educated because they think we don't have the same rights as men. We are just as good as men and we should be able to be educated woman also have great idea's just like men. One of the many men who had argued that woman shouldn't be educated was Jean-Jacques Rousseau. He had said that we shouldn't be educated on anything but for the pleasure of men. That was one of the most disrespectable comment, he doesn't know what he's talking about. If woman were educated we could have had help things and probably came up with new ideas in the future. I think I had made an affect on the world because now people had been thinking about giving same rights as men. This made the world realize that woman can also have some really great ideas. | | |
| My name is Mary Wollstonecraft and i'm a British writer, a philosopher and an early feminist. I was born on April 27, 1759 in Spitalfields. I'm known for my book that that I've written called 'A Vindication of the Rights of Woman' one that changed how people feel. I feel as if the men at our time didn't really appreciate what women thinked or they should had been educated at all! I thought I needed to show other people that not all women wanted to be treated as if they were nothing. I think that this had affected people because people started to think things differently about the woman rights. This has been done during the Enlightenment and it had more of an affected towards people. Now I feel as if I've done something good that people had thought over before they actually had left how things were. | | |
